Weimar



Weimar has been a center of European culture since 899. Famous writers and composers lived and worked here. One of the most famous was Goethe. He also spent some time in Jena.

A Russian Orthodox Church in the graveyard. Goethe is buried in the basement in the building you see behind it. His coffin is surrounded by those of royalty.
