Pfahl und Distrikball in Lagenhessen

Every Fall the East German Stakes and Districts have a Fall Ball (much like our old Gold and Green Ball). Last year we attended the one for Dresden, (remember the blog?). The Leipzig Stake had an amazing presentation of food and the music was live. Everyone dances.

This couple touched our hearts. They danced the whole night.

Ralph, our Branch Mission Leader, is a great dancer and is scheduled to teach the JAEs Ballroom Dancing. We each got to take a turn with him......sorry no pictures.



Sonja and Henry, one of the two families in our Branch, invited us to go to the Ball with them. If you look to the left you will see the wheelchair couple as he holds her in his arms to dance.




We sat at the same table with the Albrechts. She is from Utah, he is from Germany. They met as missionaries in Hamburg. They have four children and have recently returned from Utah where he worked for ten years. He is back here to finish his school because Germany will pay all his expenses and give him money to live on. Their children are fluent in both languages. They are a neat couple and we enjoyed the time spent with them.

We had a great time!
