Meissen Street Meeting

The Sisters took the train to Meissen to meet the Elders for a Street Meeting.

We walked from the train station across the Elbe River to the city.

We set up our boards and went to work.

It was fun talking to the people on the street.

These missionaries were fearless in speaking to all who would listen.

There wasn't much success in finding anyone to teach but they shared their testimonies, gave pamphlets and we gave our homemade chocolate chip cookies.

Heading down another cobblestone street.

Already preparing the town for Christmas. We have been told that Christmas is celebrated in a big way in Germany. We are looking forward to this. Meissen is a typical, quaint, German town and we loved it. We will definitely go back to explore and enjoy their Christmas celebrations.

After all is said and done we needed food. Creative ways to save the tie.

Coming home on the train we found a young man who spoke English. We were happy to be able to speak to someone and share our testimonies, pamphlets and what was left of the cookies. It made him happy so he gave us his telephone number and agreed to have the missionaries call.
This made our day!

What a neat experience! We never did do that type of thing in Argentina. I'm sure you'd meet all kinds of people. :)

I'm glad that you got to participate in an "Austellung." I did a lot of those while I was over there. Brings back some good memories. I think the cookies were a good idea! For a while we got into tying balloon animals for the kids. Kind of silly, when you think about it, but whatever works, right?

Hi Christi, Looks like you are having a marvelous time. What a beautiful country. You look like one of the kids! I'm jealous! We're having a WARM fall here in Tucson. Yesterday it was 92 degrees. The blog is a great way to get your thoughts and photos out to everyone. Keep it up.
