Magical Night in Dresden

Our first activity with our JAE's (Young Single Adults) took us to Old Dresden to the famous Frauenkirche (church). We attended a Symposium by a scientist whose lecture was, "Can Scientology Exist with Christianity?" He was a good Christian and we enjoyed his ideas. It was September 11th and the most moving part of the evening was when he had us all stand for a moment of silence and prayer for the victims of 9/11. Here we were in the church that the Allies totally destroyed along with most of the city of Dresden at the end of WW ll and these Germans were honoring the Americans.

Another church and castle in the same area.

Your can see the Frauenkirche in the distance.

As we walked toward the church earlier in the evening we noticed on the side of the building a mural telling the history of the rulers in the area from the early 1200's.

This is just a small part of the mural. It covered a very large block
