Magdeburg Branch Temple Trip

About 80% of our active members in the Branch spent Saturday at the Freiberg Temple. Our new members were baptized for family names. Those who could went through a session and President Burkhardt (standing in the front right in the white shirt) held a special fireside for the ones who did not attend a session. We ate lunch together before everyone went home. It was a special time of unity for our small Branch.

One of the Branch members, Miriam Happle, received her own endowment. This is her family, the Meisers. They all drove longs hours to be with her. We got to know this family very well and felt like we have known each other forever. We love them. (As a side note, Mariam's father works in the Area Office and her grandfather has been the Freiburg Temple president, the Dresden Mission President and an Area Authority). Neat, neat family.

We love Miriam

That is so great about your baptisms, the temple, spring showing its face, General Conf., etc. I loved reading them and seeing the pictures of the people and places you are working with! So exciting!

This Friday is Sharon Emero's retirement party. I'm going down to say congrats to her.

Hope you're having a good week!

Sisters Gills & Wells,
I was a missionary in Berlin from 1995 - 1997, serving in Rostock, FF/O and Berlin. I was so thrilled to find your blog. It brings back so many memories. I love seeing how the church is growing. When I was there, the mission was only the northern half of former DDR. So it's very interesting to see you be able to go to the temple.
One day I hope to go back and see the old mission stomping ground.
Thank you for these entries!
