CHRISTMAS DOWNTOWN

A very big tree in the Allee Center Mall. This is a very nice big mall.

Looking up

Sister Wells is writing her Christmas Wish in the Weihnachtswunscbuch.

Looking down the mall. This does not do justice to the beauty of the Christmas decorations.

The front of the mall.

Every country has one or many.

Our favorite department store. We can get everything we want there..including some American food.

There are even Indians from Peru...at least that is what the sign said.

He was advertising some Peruvian Music he was selling on CDs. He was actually dancing and playing his flute on the sidewalk in front of Kardstadt.

These are called Raeuchermaennchen (smoking men). They come in all different characters. We thought the Pope was an unusual one. They put incense inside and the smoke comes out of the mouth.

What fun to see the city you are serving in and what a fun time of year to be there! All of the history and traditions that I see in your pictures and can pick out bits and pieces of what we end up with here as people brought over their traditions. My grandparents are from Sweden and I see a few things in Germany that look familiar.
