Finally the MTC

With only two weeks left to go we could finally concentrate on getting all in order. Of, course it was just Christi who had all the work to do. Jamar was already there and ready. Thanks heavens for Jamar's help as it was a major effort to get everything done in that short time. There were doctors and dentist appointments, insurance and financial decisions to make. The challenge of dealing with Christi's household "STUFF" was almost the final straw.......and of course there was the shopping. During all this we went to the MTC as many days as possible for German tutoring. As we were buying things to be dressed appropriately for the Area Office in Frankfurt we were wondering why we had had no contact with them. At last we received a call from the area executive secretary. He informed us that our assignment had been changed. We would be serving in the Berlin Mission in Dresden (East Germany) working with the Young Single Adults in an Outreach program. Finally we heard from someone and had an assignment we could wrap our arms around....and to be working with the German people. We were so excited.

Here we are with our wonderful German tutor, Bretton Wall, who taught use before we entered the MTC. He was excited when our assignment changed to Dresden, a place where had served and loved.

Family at the MTC to see us off and help us with our bags.

Good bye family......hello MTC.

This is cool. Sister Wells has her first name on her badge. How many missionaries have that?

The famous MTC picture.
